Short-Term Transportation Support
Short-term Transportation Support is now available to students currently experiencing financial challenges via our new Basic Needs Assistance Form. Please note this resource is only available to students who are currently experiencing a financial emergency and have exhausted other options. Resource utilization such as subsidized loans will be considered while making a determination. Short-Term Transportation Support is not to be used as a cost-savings strategy, and cannot replace Financial Aid resources.
Students may apply for short-term transportation support for any of the following areas:
✓ Medical and mental health appointments
✓ Grocery store access
✓ Transportation issues (ex. car repair)
✓ Other transportation needs
If approved, the Lyft Pass will be delivered electronically to the student’s UCI email. Emergency Lyft passes will be issued to student applicants in $25 increments based on need.
