Short-Term Transportation Support
Students may apply for short-term transportation support for any of the following areas:
✓ Medical and mental health appointments
✓ Grocery store access
✓ Transportation issues (ex. car repair)
✓ Other transportation needs
Resources Available
*NOTE: This resource is only available to students who are currently experiencing a financial emergency and have exhausted other options. Resource utilization such as subsidized loans will be considered while making a determination. Short-Term Transportation Support is not to be used as a cost-savings strategy, and cannot replace Financial Aid resources.
Lyft Passes & Shell Gas Cards
Students can choose the support that best fits their needs in the Basic Needs Assistance Form.
What to Expect:
- If approved, the Lyft Pass or Shell Gas Card will be delivered electronically to the student’s UCI email.
- Either resource will be issued to student applicants in $50 increments based on need.
