Giving Day Crowdfunding Campaign:
UCI Basic Needs Center is participating in UCI’s Giving Day on May 18, 2022. Giving Day is a 24-hour online giving campaign bringing the UCI community together to celebrate the Anteater spirit. Visit bit.ly/givingday-fresh22 to learn more!
Valued Basic Needs Allies:
$500 Matching Gift from Scott Cosel, OIT Member All gifts will be matched dollar for dollar by Scott Cosel, UCI OIT Staff Member, until a maximum match donation of $500 is reached
$2,000 Matching Gift from University Credit Union As a proud supporter of the UCI Basic Needs Center University Credit Union will be matching donations up to $2,000 for UCI Giving Day on May 18th. To learn more about University Credit Union and our partnership, visit ucu.org.
Zot Out Hunger Crowdfunding Campaign:
Our “Swipe Squad” student leaders ran a crowdfunding campaign to raise funds for the Emergency Meal Swipes service, which awards UCI students in most need access to full meals at our Dining Commons via an application process. The campaign started on September 27th and ran until December 27th. “The Swipe Squad” was a collaboration between the ASUCI Food Security Commission and the FRESH Basic Needs Hub team—with the help of our amazing community, we raised $4,170! The donations helped us provide our students with fresh, nutritious meals to contribute to their success on campus!
Zot Out Hunger also collects donated Guest Meal Swipes from students during each quarter.
UCI School of Humanities Crowdfunding Campaign 2017:
UC Irvine’s School of Humanities raised $15,001 during their Crowdfunding Campaign for FRESH from November 1st-December 1st! This infographic shows how the contributions helped us operate during the summer 2018.

UCI School of Humanities Crowdfunding Campaign 2018:
UC Irvine’s School of Humanities raised $21,970 during their second Crowdfunding Campaign for FRESH from November 1st-December 1st!
