- Students who live in substandard housing such as motels, hotels, trailer parks or camping grounds due to a lack of alternative adequate accommodations
- Students living in emergency or transitional shelters
- Students abandoned in hospitals
- Students with no stable foster care placement
- Students (possibly with families) who are fleeing or attempting to flee domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, or other dangerous or life-threatening conditions that relate to violence against the individual or a family member.
Eligibility
- Students eligible to be housed in the Basic Needs Sponsored Housing spaces must be currently enrolled with full- or part-time status; Exceptions will be considered in a collaborative process, with the final determination to be made by the Vice-Chancellor of Student Affairs.
- Eligible students must be in good standing with the Office of Academic Integrity and Student Conduct, and with UCI Student Housing.
→ To request support, a student must be referred by UCI Campus Social Worker. Students may book a Campus Social Worker Consultation to be assessed for this resource.
