Basic Needs

Section 1

FRESH offers programs that UCI students can participate in/apply to that help them meet their basic needs, including the Life Skills Workshops, Food Assistance Program, and the Snack Rack.

Section 2

Life Skills Workshops

FRESH offers a wide variety of life skill-building workshops to provide sustainable solutions and resources for basic needs insecurity alleviation. Our unique workshops prepare students with the tools to become a basic needs advocate for themselves and our communities.

Workshop offerings include: Cooking Demos with Chef Wendy, 5 week Intro-to Cooking class at the ARC, food preservation with UC Master Food Preservers, financial wellness workshops on budgeting and expense tracking, and gardening in small spaces with UC Master Gardeners.
