Appointments During COVID-19

In light of current events, and in compliance with Chancellor Gilman's order of social distancing to limit the spread of COVID-19, FRESH is limiting its services and its operation hours. This means on-site, in-person CalFresh application assistance services will be suspended for the time being. Since many of our staff will be working remotely, FRESH will be switching to application assistance via Zoom conferencing software.

Through this method, we will have one of our staff guide you through the CalFresh application remotely while you complete it on your own (through the feature of screen sharing). Keep in mind that through remote services, we may not be able to advocate for you with county after your application has been submitted, though we will provide you with coaching on how to advocate for yourself (in cases there are delays or issues post-submission).
If you are living with family members and buying/sharing food with them, please be aware that you will have to apply with them.  Please consult your family before signing-up for an appointment.  Please also be aware that we will need everyone’s documents on the application as well, including everyone's IDs, Social Security Numbers, and pay stubs for every employed family member.
