Our CalFresh Advocates can guide you through the CalFresh application!

If you live with family members and you buy/share food with them...

  • You are required to apply with your family.
  • Please consult your family before signing-up for an appointment with us. 
  • We will need everyone’s documents on the application as well, including everyone's IDs, Social Security Numbers, and pay stubs for every employed family member.

Appointment Materials (MANDATORY):

During your appointment, the following documents are required in order to complete the application:

(You must bring your required documents to your appointment to successfully complete your application!)

  • ID (Drivers license, any state issued ID, or Passport)
  • If applying through the CalGrant eligibility, proof of CalGrant by logging into your California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) account OR CalFresh Notification email from CSAC with proof of TANF
  • Proof of living expenses*
  • If working, paystubs from the last 30 days

*If any of these documents are accessible online, you do not need to bring paper copies

Acceptable "documents" for housing expenses include:

  • Lease agreement
  • Checks/receipts
  • Venmo screenshots
  • Online portal screenshot

Acceptable documents for proof of income:

  • Paystubs (must have the number of hours/week)
